ABU DHABI – A spell of humid weather is set to sweep across the United Arab Emirates (UAE), bringing a high probability of fog and mist formation in several coastal and inland areas over the coming days.

The conditions are expected to persist from Saturday through Wednesday, potentially affecting early morning visibility on key roads. Authorities have urged motorists to remain alert during this period.

The forecast was issued by the National Centre of Meteorology, which indicated that overall weather conditions will stay generally fair to partly cloudy despite the rise in humidity levels.

Visibility alert

Forecasters say the elevated humidity during night and early morning hours will create favourable conditions for fog and mist across multiple regions. Reduced visibility is most likely during the early hours of the day, particularly in coastal and internal areas.

Drivers have been advised to exercise caution and follow traffic guidance when travelling during fog-prone periods.

Temperature shift

Temperatures are expected to see a slight dip on Sunday before gradually climbing again by Tuesday. The overall weather pattern, however, will remain stable, with no major disturbances forecast during the period.

Humidity will continue to play a key role in shaping morning conditions through midweek.

Wind and seas

Winds will be light to moderate overall, blowing mainly northwesterly to southwesterly. Speeds may freshen at times, reaching up to 35 km/h in exposed areas.

Sea conditions across both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are forecast to remain slight for most of the period. However, waters may turn moderate at times on Sunday and again on Wednesday, depending on wind activity.
